“I feel lonely in my relationship”
Someone is beside you, yet warmth and understanding feel out of reach. Arguments repeat, and it is difficult to express your needs.

DOES ANY OF THIS FEEL FAMILIAR?
You do not have to wait until things feel unbearable. A first conversation can begin with: “I want to understand what I am going through.”
Someone is beside you, yet warmth and understanding feel out of reach. Arguments repeat, and it is difficult to express your needs.
Work, family, and caring for loved ones. You are used to coping, but your own needs keep being put aside.
Children have grown up, work has changed, or a familiar routine has ended. You want to explore what matters to you in this stage of life.
Separation, bereavement, illness, or other difficult events. You need room for your feelings, without being hurried.
Thoughts go round in circles. Guilt, resentment, or fear of other people’s opinions makes it hard to trust yourself.
Difficulties with a child or teenager, or tension with adult children or your own parents.

I am Galyna Halka, a practical psychologist and psychotherapist based in Ukraine. I am 75. Alongside my professional work, I bring a lifetime of relationships, change, and finding my own footing. Yet I listen to each person as someone whose story cannot be explained by anyone else’s experience.
I work with adults, children, teenagers, and parents. Together, we explore your feelings and familiar ways of responding, looking for greater self-understanding and more room for choice. You decide what you are ready to share.

We begin by talking: what happened, how you feel, and what you would like to change. When feelings are difficult to describe, we may use imagined scenes, drawing, or sand and figures. No special skills are needed. One approach I use is called symboldrama. I explain what I suggest and why before we try it.
“I would like to ask about a consultation” is enough. We will discuss time, format, and fee. Sessions are in Ukrainian or Russian, whichever feels more natural to you.
We explore what concerns you and what you hope for. You do not have to tell your whole story at once.
We discuss possible next steps together. You can take time to decide.
CLIENTS’ WORDS
I want to share my sincere feedback about working with Galyna Arkadiivna, a wonderful professional. She is someone who can find an approach to every client. Thank you for the tremendous help and support. Our sessions felt easy and useful. Galyna Arkadiivna helped me understand myself and clearly understand what I wanted, without imposing her opinion, helping me reach my own understanding instead. She was always accommodating and understanding. You can see that she sincerely wants to help and gives herself fully to her work. Although we paused our regular sessions because I reached the goal I set at the beginning, I know I can turn to her if I need help. I am deeply grateful.
«With her help, I left that relationship, worked through its consequences and the reasons that had brought me to that point, and am living my best life.»
«Living abroad feels less frightening now, because I know Galyna will help and I will feel invincible again.»
«I was able to find answers to questions (even those I had NEVER dared to ask myself or anyone else), return to a full life, remember and allow myself small and big joys, and allow myself to want things and receive what I wanted.»
These are clients’ personal experiences, not a promise of a particular outcome. Names are not shown in the supplied images.

Outside my practice, I help weave camouflage nets for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is part of my life and a practical way to contribute.
Ukrainian or Russian. Choose the language in which it is easier to talk about feelings, memories, and personal experiences. It is fine to switch naturally to your first language during the meeting.
You can bring what matters to you now, including concerns that arise later in life. In a first meeting, we discuss your needs, expectations, and a suitable way of working.
Begin with a few words about what has become difficult. You do not need psychological terminology or a prepared script.
Yes, subject to availability in your location. You need a stable connection and a private place to talk. Before booking from abroad, we clarify your country and region, eligibility, session language, and time zone.
That depends on your concerns and circumstances. We discuss goals, frequency, and progress together. A fixed number of sessions or outcome cannot be promised.
Galyna offers consultations in Ukrainian or Russian, including for Ukrainians living abroad where permitted. You can choose the language in which it feels most natural to discuss personal matters, or switch between the two. She does not provide consultations in English. “Hello Galyna, I would like to ask about a consultation.” That is enough for a first message. Personal details can wait until you meet.
